Aconcagua

The Crown of the Andes

Aconcagua, towering at 6,961 meters (22,841 feet), is not only the highest peak in the Americas but also the highest point outside of Asia, drawing adventurers and climbers from around the globe to its challenging slopes. Located in the Andes mountain range of Argentina in the province of Mendoza, this majestic mountain offers a variety of routes for ascents, catering to both seasoned climbers and those new to high-altitude expeditions.

Its discovery, marked by the first recorded ascent in 1897, has since placed Aconcagua on the map as a beacon for those seeking to test their limits against the raw beauty and might of nature. Surrounded by a rugged landscape that is home to an array of flora and fauna adapted to life at high elevations, Aconcagua remains a symbol of adventure, challenge, and the enduring allure of the mountains.

What we'll do

During our Aconcagua expedition, we’ll embark on a captivating hike to “Fin Sendero de la Laguna,” where the beauty of untouched nature unfolds in every direction. In the right season, when the conditions permit, we’ll have the unique opportunity to trek to Base Camp Confluencia, an endeavor that requires a 5-6 hour hike, offering a glimpse into the lives of climbers preparing for their summit bids. Additionally, our journey will take us to explore the historic site of Punta del Inca, known for its natural bridge and thermal springs, a place where nature and history intertwine. We’ll also venture to the old railway station near the border to Chile, a silent witness to the passage of time and the gateway between two nations, offering stunning views and a touch of the bygone era of steam locomotion. Each step of our journey through the Aconcagua Provincial Park promises not only the thrill of adventure but also a profound connection with the majestic Andean landscapes.
